On Reflection 2.0, Kate Olson has written a post about her new Ask Kate forum idea. I’m thinking this could be a great way to further open the lines of communication I have with my students … and they have with me. I might start something similar on our class blog.

While I was a way at the G&T PD yesterday my relief, Cathy Burns, did some wonderful Easter Art with the kids. These cards look an absolute treat!

Well done Cathy and well done students!

Gagne’s Model of G&TToday I participated in a day of professional development for Education Queensland Teachers in the Greater Brisbane Region who are becoming GEMs (Gifted Education Mentors) at their school.

Yep, I’m a GEM … but I’m sure most people who know me knew that already!

It was the second PD workshop for the GEMs program that I’ve attending this Term, and I will be attending another 2-3 throughout Terms 2, 3 and 4.

The two workshops have been wonderfully planned and implemented by Bronwyn and Robyn, and I feel as though I am starting to grasp the job of what being a GEM at my school entails.

Just a short post, as I’ve got to fly out the door to visit a Celebrant that my fiancée and I are looking at hiring for our big day in September!
